Mascoma Lake is a 1,158 acre lake with fun activities year round. Boating is allowed, although even during peak season, you don’t see all that many. Except for Dartmouth College’s sailing team, which practices here. There is lots of kayaking, fishing, and swimming. And the lake is surprisingly active during the winter. There is snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and ice fishing. There are two islands and just generally beautiful, serene scenery to explore year-round. There is also a family of loons here that will allow you to paddle pretty close.
