Niagara Glen Nature Reserve is located about 1.5 hours away from Toronto and is located in the heart of Niagara. The conservation area is popular for hikers with three main trails, climbers who enjoy bouldering [it’s also the best place to go near the GTA for bouldering], a photographers delight as its near the Niagara river and at some parts the whirlpool is visible. Best times to visit are in the summer and in the fall. If you are bouldering in the summer you will have to purchase a pass from the visitor centre. The trails are easy to hike and are well maintained there are lots of interesting rock formations to enjoy along the way whether you are a climber or not. Be sure to bring a crash pad if you are climbing as some of the routes can get a bit high. Bring your courage.
