Hey guys, I’m traveling along the Spanish and Portuguese coast with friends on a two week surf trip, would love to hear about some of the great surf spots to hit up on the trip and any other places or things that are worth visiting? Cheers.

That sounds amazing!! If you find yourself as far north as Basque country (maybe swing through at the end?) there are a number of beautiful beaches that are straddled by medieval-looking towns that are brimming with history and charm. Not sure what size of swell you’re after but Mundaka is an infamous surf spot, and it was on the World Tour for a number of years.

The Inertia has a succinct write up here http://www.theinertia.com/surf/spains-5-best-waves/ that could help get you started. Now I’m itching to go!

I know Portugal has an amazing surfing scene (one of the best in Europe), but can’t say that I’m familiar with it. Here’s a really handy (and pretty cool) diagram to help you map out a nice route – http://www.momondo.com.au/inspiration/best-surfing-spots-in-portugal/#dVWdxXZEpiBlaTar.97 .

Have an amazing trip! Looking forward to seeing some pics on here from it 😀
